First History of AFSWP, 1947-1954. Volume 3. 1950. Chapter 4. Sandia Base. Sanitized Version.

PB99143745

Publication Date 1954
Page Count 300
Abstract This chapter of the History of the Armed Forces Special Weapons Project has been based on the two semiannual compilations of the 'Sandia Base History' for the year 1950, one covering the period 1 January 1950 through 30 June 1950 (Ref.27a), and the other covering the period 1 July 1950 through 31 December 1950. (Ref.27b) The histories of Site Baker and Site Charlie, which were combined with the two semiannual histories of Sandia Base, have not been included in this chapter, but will be found in Chapter 5, as will that of Site Able. However, the location of Site Able at Sandia Base, and the attendant administrative connections, have necessitated the incorporation of much of its history in that of Sandia Base.
