Abstract |
Albizia and Paraserianthes species are some of the most widely used and widely planted trees in the tropics. They are common components of timber plantations, annual and perrenial cropping systems, and livestock production systems. Their many products include timber, veneers, material for turnery, crates, agricultural implements, fuelwood, paper pulp, fodder, green manure, human food, medicines, gums, and tannins. They also provide soil improvement, erosion control, shade and support for crops, shade for livestock, windbreaks, and site beautification. |
