The study examined commercial refrigeration equipment (supermarkets, refrigerated vending machines, beverage merchandisers, reach-in and walk-in refrigerators and freezers, and ice machines). Baseline energy use, potential energy savings, and the economics of energy-saving improvements were examined. Other information included equipment descriptions, major end-uses, typical costs, life and reliability characteristics, and major manufacturers. |
