National Technical Reports Library

The National Technical Information Service acquires, indexes, abstracts, and archives the largest collection of U.S. government-sponsored technical reports in existence. The NTRL offers online, free and open access to these authenticated government technical reports. Technical reports and documents in its repository may be available online for free either from the issuing federal agency, the U.S. Government Publishing Office’s Federal Digital System website, or through search engines.

Abstract The Statement was prepared to give the information about 1,4-dichlorobenzene and to emphasize the human health effects that may result from exposure to it. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has identified 1,300 sites on its National Priorities List (NPL). 1,4-Dichlorobenzene has been found in at least 244 of these sites. As EPA evaluates more sites, the number of sites at which 1,4-dichlorobenzene is found may change. The information is important to know because 1,4-dichlorobenzene may cause harmful health effects and because these sites are potential or actual sources of human exposure to 1,4-dichlorobenzene.
