National Technical Reports Library

The National Technical Information Service acquires, indexes, abstracts, and archives the largest collection of U.S. government-sponsored technical reports in existence. The NTRL offers online, free and open access to these authenticated government technical reports. Technical reports and documents in its repository may be available online for free either from the issuing federal agency, the U.S. Government Publishing Office’s Federal Digital System website, or through search engines.

Evaluation of Gas Detector Tube Systems: Nitrogen Dioxide.

PB93142057

Publication Date 1972
Personal Author Brown, C. H.
Page Count 20
Abstract NIOSH performed reliability testing of nitrogen dioxide gas detector tubes from five manufacturers, with gas generated at standard concentrations relative to the threshold limit value (TLV) by a dynamic permeation tube method. Concentrations were verified analytically by the Saltzman technique. The performance requirement of plus or minus 25% accuracy at the 95% confidence level at one, two, and five times the TLV, and at plus or minus 35% at one-half the TLV is met by only the Drager CH 30000.5950 detector tube.
