Contracts that NIOSH had let are discussed in the booklet along with interagency agreements and foreign currency arrangements. The contracts covered research in the following fields: agriculture, industrywide studies, laboratory studies (behavioral and motivational factors, engineering, physical agents, physical and chemical analysis, physiology and ergonomics, and toxicology), laboratory services, manpower development, mining, occupational carcinogenesis, occupational health programs, policy direction and administrative support, safety, standards development, surveillance, and technical services. Types of work being carried out under interagency agreements are described. Research projects conducted with foreign countries are listed for India, Egypt, Poland, and Yugoslavia. |
