Abstract	The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is conducting a study titled 'Occupational Hazard Control Options for Chemical Process Unit Operations.' The object is to obtain information on principles, equipment, and techniques employed by chemical processing industries to minimize or eliminate workplace exposures to hazardous compounds. Preliminary site visits are made to a number of chemical processing facilities to obtain information on effective control technology. In-depth studies, which include area and personal monitoring, and monitoring of emission sources will be conducted in a minority of these facilities, selected on the basis of the effectiveness of the controls observed during the preliminary site visits. This is the preliminary site visit report covering the November 4, 1982 visit to the FMC Corp. facility at Pocatello, Idaho.
