Abstract An attempt to provide an efficient and toxic free method of recirculating industrial exhaust air is discussed. An overview is made of the overall design process, the feasibility of recirculating industrial exhaust air, physical and chemical contaminant characteristics, exhaust cleaning, surveillance and response strategies, design of a system and validation of its performance, and maintenance and operation of the system.
