Abstract A survey to measure baseline exposure to coal dust, asbestos (1332214), sulfur-dioxide (7446095) (SO2), nitrogen-dioxide (10102440) (NO2) fly-ash (68131748), nitric-oxide (10102439) (NO) sulfites (SO3) sulfates (SO4) and noise was conducted at the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) coal fired power facilities. Personal and area atmospheric samples were taken and historical exposure data examined.
