Abstract	A system developed by Research Triangle Institute to gain comprehensive national information regarding exposure of employees to potential hazards across occupational and industrial categories is discussed. The objectives of the system developed are identified. The background of the system's development is related. The relationship of the system to the National Occupational Hazard Survey (NOHS) is described. The five major tasks of the system and the findings of the data collection are discussed. The authors recommend that the query logic be expanded to enhance the value of the data base, that the new ALG program be linked to RPTMAIN and the 'All Information' report capability, and that the necessary change be made in existing linkage system to form a bilateral linkage between the Registry of Toxic Effects of Chemical Substances (RTECS) and NOHS.
