Abstract |
Instructor manual for a one week 'Industrial Hygiene Chemistry' course, designed to give program graduates expertise in environmental sampling and analysis. Lesson 10 encompasses uses, conditions, sampling constraints, instrumentation and applications for atomic absorption spectrometry. Sections are devoted to various aspects of atomic absorption spectrometry, including: light sources, wavelength selection and measurement, the flame as the atomic vapor cell, resistively heated atomic vapor cells, samples and standards preparation, and applications in occupational health. |
