Abstract |
Instructor manual for a one week 'Industrial Hygiene Chemistry' course, designed to give program graduates expertise in environmental sampling and analysis. Lesson 6 encompasses uses, conditions, and sampling constraints for visible light, ultraviolet, infrared and fluorescence spectrophotometry. Sections are devoted to molecular structure and energy levels, basic structure of the spectrophotometer, Beer's law, transmittance, and absorbance, visible light spectrophotometry, ultraviolet spectrophotometry, fluorescence spectrophotometry, infrared absorption spectrophotometry, sampling considerations and sample preparation. |
