Abstract |
Test results using the NIOSH analytical method S21 for acrolein (107028) are reported. The procedure involves sample collection in a buffered Girard-T solution or in a midget bubbler charged with hydroxylamine solution, and analysis by differential pulse polarography. Analytical equipment and procedures are described along with generation of test atmospheres. Data on stability and recovery rate is included. The procedure using Girard-T reagent was unsatisfactory due to instability of the sample, and the collection efficiency of hydroxylamine was inadequate. |
