Abstract |
Environmental surveys were conducted on March 19, 1980, to determine whether N-nitroso compounds were present or formed in the surfactants and detergents produced at Procter and Gamble (SIC-2841) in Quincy, Massachusetts. Air and bulk samples were collected from areas in the facility where these compounds could have been present and were analyzed for N-nitroso compounds using gas or high pressure liquid chromatography with thermal electron analysis. No N-nitroso compounds were found in the atmosphere on the day of testing. The authors note that no amines were used at this company. |
