Abstract The manual outlines good work practices for the electroplating industry, in order to educate the worker and prevent accidents and body contact with chemicals during the various electroplating operations. Processes covered are precleaning, caustic cleaning, pickling, and plating. Also included are recommendations for worker contribution to preventing accidents, aids for safe working, and reference tables on the hazards of electroplating chemicals and on first aid procedures in case of accidents.
