Abstract The booklet contains information about hazards that may be encountered by men and women who work in the commission dyehouses, print works, and textile finishing plants, and in the dyeing and finishing departments of integrated textile mills. Guidelines are outlined for the protection of health and prevention of accidents. Good work practices are described for work in the receiving and Greige rooms, preparation, dyeing, drying, finishing, printing, inspection, shipping, repair and maintenance departments, and put-up room. Guidelines are also presented for the use of personal protective equipment, machine and chemicals safety, fire safety, and first aid and medical treatment.
