A manual of hazard surveillance is given with information concerning the development of the national occupational hazard survey. Topics include survey guidelines, objectives, survey form, manual maintenance, completion and submission of the survey forms, scheduling of visits, appointments, facility location, facility grouping, subsampling, visits to the facility, entrance to the facility, walk-through surveys, various types of hazards, suggested controls, life threatening situations, survey form preparation, instructions, and appendices containing state codes, standard industrial classifications, chemicals and chemical compounds (annual list of toxic compounds), physical hazards, exposure form and intended control. |
