Abstract Six talc samples were submitted to the College Park Metallurgy Research Center, Particulate Mineralogy Unit. Analyses of the material showed that, in addition to talc, the following minerals were present: nonasbestiform tremolite, antigorite-lizardite, calcite, dolomite, quartz, and in one sample, a few bundles of fibrous tremolite.
