Abstract	Approximately 400 representatives of industry, government, and academic institutions attended the third international symposium on ash utilization and technology at Pittsburgh, Pa., March 13-14, 1973. Sponsored by five organizations representing interests in electric power generation from coal and related matters, the symposium featured 26 formal presentations by experts from Europe, Asia, and the United States on recent developments in major phases of ash production, utilization, and research. Abstracts of all the papers are presented, along with addresses of major officials.
