Abstract The enthalpy of formation of malachite was determined by hydrochloric acid calorimetry. At 298.15 K the enthalpy of formation from the component oxides is minus 15.10 plus or minus 0.30 kcal per mole and from the elements, minus 251.9 plus or minus 0.5 kcal per mole. (Author)
