Development of Louvered Signs to Reduce Wind Load.

PB226884

Publication Date 1973
Personal Author Hewitt, C. H.; Tobin, C. J.; Fletcher, P. B.
Page Count 38
Abstract A louvered sign 8 feet high and 12 feet wide was tested in comparison with a standard sign. While the anticipated reduction of wind pressure of about 50% was obtained for normal wind loads, the transverse wind load was about equal to that of the normal wind loads. The study results indicate that application appears limited.
