Abstract The purpose of this study is to evaluate the characteristics and effectiveness of a nursedirected Women’s Health Promotion Program (WHPP) for Austere Settings in the military community setting. The WHPP is a 30-minute interactive class that teaches military women to prepare for environments that require alteration of feminine hygiene behaviors. The WHPP was designed, implemented, and evaluated according to the RE-AIM framework: Reach, Efficacy/effectiveness, Adoption, Implementation, and Maintenance of a health promotion program in a community setting.
