Abstract The project involves the following: Overlay existing 75 feet x 4,000 feet N/S runway and extend to 5,100 feet; overlay existing parallel taxiway, widen to 40 feet, and extend to new end of runway; acquire land to extend runway and provide required lateral clearance; acquire easements for clear zones to N/S runway; replace, existing runway lighting, install airport beacon and VASI landing aid. Some possible minor increase in air and noise pollution due to use of airport by larger aircraft is expected. (Author)
