Abstract This study sought to explain the experiences of active duty military caregivers of women with heart failure. The study used a qualitative design and grounded theory methodology. Ten active duty caregivers of women with chronic heart failure provided semi-structured interviews about their experiences. Dimensional analysis was used to generate a theoretical model explaining the phenomena under study.
