Abstract The purpose of this study was to identify and compare the health problems and reproductive outcomes of three groups of women: Theater veterans were defined as members of the Armed Forces of the United States who served as nurses in Vietnam. Era veterans were defined as members of the Armed Forces of the United States who served as nurses during the war but did not serve in Vietnam. Civilians were defined as nurses who never served in the military, but were active in the practice of nursing during the Vietnam War.
