User's Guide for the AERMOD Terrain Preprocessor (AERMAP).

Abstract The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in conjunction with the American Meteorological Society (AMS), has developed a new air quality dispersion model, the AMS/EPA Regulatory Model (AERMOD). AERMOD is designed to calculate air pollutant concentrations in all types of terrain, from flat prairie to complex mountainous situations. AERMOD does not process its own terrain. A preprocessor program, AERMAP, has been developed to process this terrain data in conjunction with a layout of receptors and sources to be used in AERMOD control files.
