Abstract Numerous studies have shown a relationship between various physical stressors and upper extremity musculoskeletal disorders (UEMSDs). It is generally agreed that a dose-response relationship exists between exposure to these stressors and the prevalence or incidence rate of these disorders. Most of these epidemiology studies however, have only examined exposures in a binary classification, either present/absent or low/high. The present study was designed with the primary goal of providing more information on the shape of the dose-response curve for hand repetition with respect to specific medical outcomes
