| Abstract |
Since the official launch of the project, April 1, 2000, the planning committee has held 15 teleconferences with an average participation of 12 members. The planning committee has held two face-to-face meetings inconjunction with agricultural safety and health conferences, one at the New York Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health Conference in Cooperstown, NY in late April, 2000 and one at the National Institute for Farm Safety Conference in Dubuque, Iowa in June 2000. The main activities of the planning committee during this period have been to define presentations desired for the conference, invite authors to writepapers, present those presentations at the conference, finalize the agenda for the conference, and to secure participation from selected practicing farmers and farmworkers. Pertinent conference information, location, accommodations, and registration directions, was placed on theconference website http://www.age.uiuc. edu/agsafety/conf.htm, and updated as needed. |
