Evaluating Portable Air Cleaner Removal Efficiencies for Bioaerosols.

PB2003101407

Publication Date 2002
Page Count 36
Abstract The overall objective of this study was to conduct experiments to quantify the rates at which bioaerosols are removed and/or inactivated by three portable air cleaners (PACs), and by the PACs combined with the operation of an upper-room air ultraviolet germicidal air irradiation (UVGI) system. Filtration has been used to reduce indoor pollutant concentrations in many settings and it has been shown to be effective in controlling a number of airborne contaminants.
