Abstract	In the context of this study, professional engineering services facilitate the design, implementation and use of technological systems, such as control, automation, or telecommunications systems. The objective of study was to develop a generic process for transforming such services into products. Service products differ from general services in that they have a priori defined features and implementation processes. The main contribution of this research is in the development of a generic process to transform existing engineering firm services into products. In addition, a conceptual service product model that is specifically designed for engineering services has been developed.
