Abstract The proposed improvement to route 371 is located in St. Joseph, Missouri. It will be a connecting link between Route 59 on the west and Route I-229 on the east. Two-lane bridges will be constructed over Route 371, I-229 and relocated Mason Road. Half-diamond interchanges will be constructed at Route 371 and Route I-229. This improvement will require the acquisition of approximately 20 acres of undeveloped residential land. The facility will aid the flow of local traffic as well as through traffic by providing fast, safe transportation.
