National Technical Reports Library

The National Technical Information Service acquires, indexes, abstracts, and archives the largest collection of U.S. government-sponsored technical reports in existence. The NTRL offers online, free and open access to these authenticated government technical reports. Technical reports and documents in its repository may be available online for free either from the issuing federal agency, the U.S. Government Publishing Office’s Federal Digital System website, or through search engines.

Abstract Polarization degrees of freedom in exclusive channel of two charged pion electroproduction are studied in the Q(sup 2) region from 0.6 to 1.3 GeV(sup 2). Predictions for the contribution to the GDH integral as well as helicity components of the cross section are estimated in the framework of the phenomenological approach developed for the analysis of the two pion production data from CLAS (JLAB). Calculations show high sensitivity of the helicity difference sigma(sub 1/2) - sigma(sub 3/2) to baryon resonances with strongly different A(sub 1/2) and A(sub 3/2) photocouplings.
