Abstract Geophysical methods have been used for characterization of hydrogeologic conditions and/or contaminant distributions at the Hanford site since at least the mid- to late-1940s. A review of these geophysical methods is presented in two parts: (1) shallow surface-based geophysical methods and (2) borehole geophysical-logging methods.
