Abstract This report describes an underwater ordnance item, the Signal, Underwater Sound (SUS), Mk 123 Mod 0, recently released for Fleet use that incorporates a new type of explosive train which has a fuze containing no moving parts. The simplicity, safety, reliability and ruggedness of this fuze make it worthy of consideration for use in other ordnance items. (Author)
