National Technical Reports Library

The National Technical Information Service acquires, indexes, abstracts, and archives the largest collection of U.S. government-sponsored technical reports in existence. The NTRL offers online, free and open access to these authenticated government technical reports. Technical reports and documents in its repository may be available online for free either from the issuing federal agency, the U.S. Government Publishing Office’s Federal Digital System website, or through search engines.

Abstract The main subjects of the report are a Generalized Relaxation method and a Generalized Inverse method for iteratively solving large integral equations. These methods are specifically applicable to the k-space formulation of such integral equations. The report consists of a brief development of the k-space formulation of the initial value problem, with brief treatment of the electromagnetic scattering problem as a special case; and with detailed emphasis on the development of the generalized relaxation function method and the generalized inverse method.
