Publication Date 1971
Personal Author Boes, D. J.
Page Count 61
Abstract The report describes efforts to develop improved self-contained, solid lubricated ball bearings capable of at least 25 hours operation at speeds approaching 60,000 rpm. The program encompasses a temperature range of -40F to 600F and a maximum load combination of 75 lb thrust/25 lb radial. The functional test portion of the program achieved a maximum life of 15 hours on a solid lubricated ball bearing operating at 30,000 rpm and a temperature of 200F. (Author)
