National Technical Reports Library

The National Technical Information Service acquires, indexes, abstracts, and archives the largest collection of U.S. government-sponsored technical reports in existence. The NTRL offers online, free and open access to these authenticated government technical reports. Technical reports and documents in its repository may be available online for free either from the issuing federal agency, the U.S. Government Publishing Office’s Federal Digital System website, or through search engines.

Abstract The infrared spectrum from 33 to 550/cm, and the Raman spectrum with some polarisation measurements, are reported for P2I4. The data indicate that P2I4 has the trans I2PPI2 structure with C2h symmetry in the solid state and in solution. The fundamental frequencies suggested for the solution are: ag - 316, 303, 114, 78; au - 327, 90, 51; bg - 330, 95; bu - 313, 109 and 65/cm. The infrared spectrum of PI3 is also reported. (Author)
